Funday Monday Programs
Every Monday in June @ 2:30 pm join us at Pringle Park for roaring good time. (No sign up required)
- June 3rd – Professor Steve’s Excellent Adventure
- Together with Professor Steve let’s learn how science allows us to make our dreams come true, like juggling or how science can make us as powerful as Superman. Lots of science, interaction & fun for all ages. Don’t miss Professor Steve’s Excellent Adventure!
- June 10th – Zoo-To-You with the Potawatomi Zoo
- The Potawatomi Zoo will bring a little bit of the Zoo to us! Together we’ll learn about and meet a few of their animals! Join us to see what animals will come this year!
- June 17th – Mark’s Ark
- Mark and his critters travel all around Indiana bringing a fun, and educational hands-on presentation to all ages. Join us to see what animals Mark will be bringing!
- June 24th – Soarin’ Hawks
- Raptors from Soarin’ Hawks Rehabilitation Center will be visiting Goshen. Together we will explore different raptors of Indiana and their role in our environment.
Bonus Fundays
This year we are adding more programs on differing days and time.
- June 12th @ 6:00 PM – Creature Feature with Elkhart Co. Parks Dept.
- Join us at the in the GPL Auditorium as Krista from the Elkhart County Parks Department brings different local creatures to share with us. We’ll learn more about our local habitats and the animal friends who live all around us!
- July 18th @ 10:30 AM – Potawatomi Zoo Visits GPL
- The Potawatomi Zoo is visiting twice this summer, bringing more animals to meet and learn about! Join us to see what animals come this time!
Minecraft Programs
Calling all Minecrafters! Whether you’re an experienced minecrafter or you want to learn more, join us for two exciting programs fit for summer! Open to K-6th grade, sign up is required.
- June 14 – Waterpark Mayhem
- Dive into a Minecraft waterpark where you’ll tackle water slides, obstacle courses and diving boards. Non-stop fun and splashes await!
- 4:00 – 5:30 PM

- July 12 – Dinosaur Safari
- Immerse in a prehistoric world complete with lush forests, expansive deserts, and mysterious caves where you’ll encounter lifelike dinosaurs.

Tween Thursday Programs
Open to 4th – 6th graders. Select Thursday in June and July @ 4:00 pm join us in the Children’s dept. at the library. (Sign up is required).
- June 13th – Cookies & Canvas
- Do you love to paint? Or maybe you’re not sure. Either way this program will be a lot of fun! Follow along with simple instructions to create your own masterpiece! Art can be messy, so make sure to wear clothes that are okay to get paint on.
- 4:00 – 5:00 pm
- June 27th – International Chip Taste Testing
- You’ve probably heard of, and even tasted, Lay’s Potato Chips and it’s different flavors like Sour Cream & Onion or Barbecue. But did you know that in different countries they have different flavors? Join us as we try potato chips from around the world!
- 4:00 – 5:00 pm
- July 11th – Paper Airplane Olympics
- Are you a paper airplane master? Or do you just really like making paper airplanes? We have the program for you! Join us for the Paper Airplane Olympics! We’ll have games that test flight distance, duration in the air, flight accuracy, and more!

Join us in the auditorium at 4:00 pm for our lineup of summer movies in both English and Spanish!

Tuesdays in June visit us at Pringle Park during the school lunches to receive a free book.

Beanstack
Use Beanstack, or a Paper Log, or BOTH!
Digital Reading Log
- Go to goshenpl.beanstack.org
- Register an Individual or Family. Follow prompts to register.
- Log your reading to earn badges.
- any reading throughout the day = 1 DAY
- Each reading badge earned equals one prize from the Plinko Board or an entry into a prize pack drawing (call or visit the children’s department for your prize).
- Log your activities to earn additional badges.
- Each activity badge earned gives you an entry into drawings for either Fort Wayne Zoo or Indianapolis Children’s Museum passes!
- Read a total of 30 days to earn an entry into the Grand Prize Drawing! If you read for 60 days, you’ll earn an additional entry into the Grand Prize Drawing!
Paper Reading Log
- Pick up a paper reading log from the children’s desk, or print one out below.
- Use the reading log to track your reading alongside the Beanstack website or app.
- Mark off days you read, use a badge sticker (available at children’s desk) for every 7 days of reading.
- Track your activities on the paper log and complete all activities in each section to earn the corresponding badge!
- Then log on to Beanstack to update your digital log, or bring to the children’s desk and we’ll do it for you!
