Summer Reading Book Giveaways

Be a champion for literacy in Goshen by supporting the Goshen Public Library’s Summer Reading Book Giveaway program!

Since its inception in 2021, our initiative has been dedicated to enriching the lives of children and teens, contributing over 6,300 free books and magazines for youth to build their personal home libraries. 

Why does it matter? Research tells us that children with personal home libraries retain knowledge over the summer, entering the new school year better prepared and more motivated to read. This contributes to higher literacy levels and an increased likelihood of receiving more years of schooling.

Your contribution makes a direct impact by putting a book into the hands of a child or teen, fostering a love for reading that lasts a lifetime. Each $5 donation ensures a book reaches a child or teen in your community. What’s more, through February 2025, the Friends of the Goshen Public Library will generously match up to $2,000 in donations! Give now to double your donation and impact!
