About the Children’s Department at GPL

The Children’s Services Department offers reference services, reader’s advisory, and special programs utilizing the children’s literature collection located on the lower level.

We offer a variety of weekly programs, including Baby & Me, Storytime, & Juega y Aprende. After-school and evening programs are offered periodically, as well as an annual Winter Reading Program, and the Summer Reading Program for all children through 6th grade. Additionally, we have book clubs for K-6th grade running throughout the year.

Tours featuring an introduction to the library, stories, and talks concerning book care are offered upon request, as well as outreach programs to area schools, daycares, and youth groups. Please call ahead of any visit by a large group, so library staff can more easily accommodate your needs.
